RI Requested Not Only Be Consumer Technology

VIVAnews - Indonesia is a market of information and communication technologies (ICT) are a large and potential. However, Indonesia is expected in the future as a country does not stop consumers and users only.

To achieve that, Indonesia Information Technology Federation (FTII) bring Taiwan ICT companies to help develop the ICT industry in Indonesia, through the cooperation between the two countries ICT companies in Asia.

"Kami berkeinginan ada perpindahan teknologi. Agar jangan hanya menjadi konsumen saja, bagaimana agar setiap produk bisa dibuat dari dua negara," kata Sylvia W. "We want no transfer of technology. So do not just be consumers, how that every product can be made of the two countries," said Sylvia W. Sumarlin, Ketua FTII usai diskusi Taiwan- Indonesia ICT Roadshow 2012 di Jakarta, 24 Juli 2012. Sylvia said the meeting is a step to make room for the components of Indonesia in a technology product from Taiwan. Currently, according to the concept of Level of Domestic Component (DCL) in a technology product is only applied in the telecommunications industry, namely the wimax equipment products.

"Though we are the largest market devices based 2G and 3G, here there is no DCL," he said. For that he hoped, Taiwanese companies will be able to share in the ICT industry.

Masuk Industri Konten Login Content Industry

The Taiwanese company, said Evie, now began to enter the content industry in Indonesia. Given the opportunity to grow the industry RI here, he pushed for Taiwan ICT companies to take applications from Indonesia.

"That would have been there we have a local game, and if you want to go to the market with my dong so, our industry must also grow dong," he said. Evie said this way at least the application of Indonesia will be present in Taiwan.

"For the hardware we can not 100 percent, but the localization of such an interface or chipset, we could make. Anyway Internet-based, there must be local content," he said.
